Nature isn't just in the "wild", it's in our own backyards and neighborhoods. There's a lot of interesting things you can find just by walking around a few blocks and being curious about your surroundings!
Therefore, I've decided to create some scavenger hunts of local areas, highlighting some of the flora, fauna, habitats, and sights that you can see if you take a moment to look for them. First up: the Eastside! Everything on this scavenger hunt can be found in the neighborhood bounded approximately by Milpas, Mason, Salinas, and Cota Streets. Whether you live on the Eastside, go on walks there on your lunch break, or are just passing through, print a copy of this scavenger hunt (or have it on your phone) and see what you can observe!
